Going to Canberra

I’m going to Canberra. Me and my family are writing about are trip to Canberra on a blog called 3 kids and a caravan. We have finally got are new caravan and on Sunday we are going up to Adelaide and sleeping there for a couple of nights. Then we are going to bring are new caravan to the snow near Canberra and stay near the snow for a couple of nights. We are then moving into Canberra to stay there for a bit over a week before going back home.

In Canberra I know there is some boring stuff. But I’ve found some fun stuff in some brochures, and I have found this ticket that you can visit three places. Those three things look like fun. The three things are Questacon, The Australian Institute Of Sport and Cookington Green Gardens. The Questacon is what I’m most looking forward to. The Questacon is a place using Science. No I’m not getting interested in school. But with stuff like sports quest where you can out how high you can jump and lots of fun things. Or like Awesome Earth where you can experience earthquakes and vie volcanoes erupting or cyclones and tsunamis. Or Sideshow where you can experience a 6m free fall on the vertical slide, or try to catch a ball while spinning on curve ball. Most of you should know what The Australia Institute Of Sport is. There is still the Cookington Green Gardens, that is a display of miniature buildings and gardens from all around the world.

The snow looks soft and I used to think it was soft, until I found out it was a bit hard. I’m really excited about going to the snow. I’ve never been to the snow before.

The new caravan should be lots of fun, but no dishwasher means more washing. Guess who has to do most of the extra washing? Me ! Nooooooo. There should be lots of good things to make up for all the extra chores (better be).

It was the football and netball grand final on Saturday. And guess what? Mum (Lightening) won the grand final. And it was a good thing because no other teams from our club won. We hosted the grand final and if mum didn’t win no teams from our club would have won and that isn’t very easy to do in a 5 team league and a home grand final. . It was mainly 2 teams that won most of the grand finals.

The crowds were huge and because it was hot and windy they all stayed around the clubrooms and bought plenty of drinks.

After all the games most of the people went back to their own clubs to celebrate and left most people from our club staying for tea. The place was a mess and there was beer bottles every where. I was glad I wasn’t on clean up. Lots of people were helping to clean up but I got away.

At tea and after tea with the music turned up loud and just everyone mucking around. It was really fun and when we finally got back home it was really late.

Now to the Wind Up. We got there and I was helping organize some cards for my dad (assistant coach) and are coach in the Junior colts.

First up was the junior Netball F,E2,E,D grades and that went well and I was getting more nervous as it came closer to my grade. Next was the Junior Football junior and Senior colts. We went into junior colts and I was really nervous they called out coaches trophy and next was Most Improved and as soon as they started talking about the person I knew it was gonna be me and was. I was really excited. They didn’t say how close Runner up best and fairest was but I reckon it was pretty close. Best and Fairest was obvious all year. I’m definitely looking forward to the next 2 years in Junior Colts.

Next we had a very nice lunch. We had a bit of a play and they were giving away the old netballs and footballs. We had some Desert.

Next we had senior trophies footy was first this time A and B grade. Then they did the senior netball and mum (Lightening) won Senior Netball Most Improved We were all really excited about that.

That is pretty much all I did on the weekend football and netball, football and netball and even more football and netball.
